Secto Design wins IPR Excellence Prize!

We proudly announce that Secto Design and the newly launched Petite collection have won the IPR Excellence Prize in the Fennia Prize 2017 design competition. Secto Design actively defends its IP rights and has extensively applied model rights and trademarks using them in its communication and as a means of acquiring a competitive advantage.

The Finnish Patent and Registration Office awards the IPR Excellence Prize for commendable use of Intellectual Property Rights. It is awarded to a company whose product has promoted Finnish design competencies and activities both nationally and internationally. Other evaluation criteria – customer orientation, comprehensiveness, innovativeness, quality of design – had to be met in connection with this entry.

Fennia Prize is a design competition where companies are awarded for exemplary use of design in both designing and realizing products. The aim of the bi-annual competition, now held for the 13th time, is to promote the use of design in business and society to enhance growth, competitiveness and internationalization. The organizers are Design Forum Finland, the Fennia Group, Elo and the Finnish Patent and Registration Office.

The Petite lamps, as the rest of the Secto Design collection, bring joy and light to the space by the ingenious use of Finnish wood. They carry on the elegant, simple and refined legacy of Finnish design. Designed by the awarded architect Seppo Koho.

The Prize Exhibition was open from the 20th January until the 12th of February 2017 at Kluuvikatu 6, Helsinki. Open Monday-Friday 11.00-18.00, Saturday 11.00-17.00 and Sunday noon-16.00. Free Entrance!
